my life this week

• New follower alert! I would like to welcome Kym from Travel Babbles as my 13th follower. Kym is an ice hockey wife that has lived in way too many fun places. Please go and say hi!!
• I work for an accounting firm and busy season is in full swing. No more time for homework and reading new blogs while working! :(
• Last night, I saw Vay-row-nic as in Veronic Dicaire. She is a French Canadian singer impersonator/entertainer. She has an amazing repertoire of female voices that she can imitate like Katy Perry, Celine Dion, Lady Gaga just to name a few. Her energy is incredible and moves all over on stage with her dancers. She has become a Las Vegas sensation and is now doing a Quebec tour.  

• I need WANT a pair of Hunter boots. Bidou proposed that I set myself a goal and if I achieve it and can therefore buy the boots. I love that idea. Now I need to find a goal. Any ideas are welcomed?
• Daddy is leaving tomorrow for a month stay in Florida. I am sad since he his my number one friend that I like to hang out with when Bidou is not around.
• A couple more evenings and I will be done reading Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell (book 6 of 2014 reading challenge). I am immensely enjoying the many 80s references included in the book.

Lately, Kloé's routine is waking me up at 6 am, going outside to do her business, eats her breakfast and runs back to bed to snuggle up with Bidou.

This was so so good and since it is made with egg whites... it was healthy. Bonus!

Since the spending freeze, I have been trying to stay out of the malls but needed to go to the Apple Store for Bidou. I was so tempted in buying this Michael Kors' mini ipad clutch. Maybe after the spending freeze!!

I finished reading Book 3 of my 40 book reading challenge.

pets are people too - bath time!

This week, I have been an unreliable blogger.  On Monday, I posted a great Part 1 of my tops reasons why you should stay at the Secrets The Vine in Cancun Mexico and promised a Part 2 on Tuesday.  Well Part 2 will probably be posted next week since I am still working on it!  Please be patient!

Today I am linking up with Jade for Pets are People too.  Any reason is a good reason to talk about my favourite girl in the house...Kloé.  

I try to get her groomed every 5-6 weeks.  I just adore her when she is smelling perfum-y and when her fur is silky and white. My Dad (her grandpa) dogsat while we were in Cancun last week. And when I picked her up last Saturday, she was grey and smelly.  Her next grooming appointment is only scheduled for December 23rd, therefore, I decided to give her a bath myself for the very first time. And she loved it!!

How often do you get your dog groomed??

A little past 3 pm and nothing posted yet since I have absolutely no idea what to write about today. I've been rushing to finish an assignment that is due today for an on-line course that I am taking (yes, doing homework during work hours!) until I visited Amanda from Voyage of the MeeMee and noticed that she had linked up with Karly Kim and Jade and Oak.  Don't you just love the domino effect of blogs??

And the subject of the link-up is "Pets are People too"... jackpot... my favourite subject of all time - KLOÉ. 

I work in an office and my husband works from home. The following is an excerpt of our daily text conservations:

Me: "What are you doing?

Bidou: "working"

Me: "Did you have lunch?" (note that my hubby does not eat if he is not reminded...!)

Bidou: "yes"

Me: "Did you take Kloé for a walk?"

Bidou: "yes"

Me: "What is Kloé doing?"

Bidou: "sleeping"

Me: "Where is she sleeping?"

Short Recap of Weekend

A nice and relaxing weekend - just the way I like them to be!!
We watched 3 movies (The Internship, The Heat and an older movie on Netflix called Dolphin Tale) and read a lot!

Sunday's supper consisted of making an easy stuffed cabbage casserole 
that I stole from a Life According to Stephanie.  
It was a hit!!  Bidou and I loved it and will be making it again!  Bonus - there were plenty left overs for lunches.

Let me introduce to you my new baby girl Kloé! Ain't she A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E??

The first 5 minutes that I was introduced to Lune (her former name... and I thought it was Ixi), it was LOVE!  I just knew that I needed, wanted to keep THAT dog.

She was born on September 6th, 2011.  She is a pure breed King Charles Cavalier.

She is lovely, cute as hell, she always wants to please, she is very playful and loves to chase her own shadow, she is well mannered and trained... she is MY dream dog.  I have a funny feeling that this blog will be renamed Kloé's Korner in a not so distant future since she will probably appear in many future posts!!

Needless to say, that my weekend circled around  getting to know Kloé and spending way too much money on dog stuff!!
