Life lately

I love taking on-line courses. I usually take one course per semester and it fits perfectly in my schedule. The last couple of years I have been working towards a Nursing Unit Clerk certificate through a local college. Last Tuesday was the start of the winter session. When I opened the syllabus for the course, I noticed that there was no final written exam only quizzes and assignments. I therefore decided there and then to sign up for another course. So English Fundamentals is the second on-line course that I am taking this semester. I felt so ambitious last Tuesday...  Now I think I am regretting it!

I bought a Fitbit Zip over the weekend. I know I am suppose to be on a spending freeze but I really really wanted needed it. A great motivation tool to get me active and stay focus on shedding a couple of pounds before bikini swimsuit season. My goal is to walk 10,000 steps a day and to increase my water intake.

I watched this movie twice over the weekend. The first time on Saturday night with Bidou then again Sunday morning. It is no blockbuster nor Grammy Award worthy movie… just a simple little movie about real people and a real relationship.

I did not read much during the weekend. However, Bidou left this morning for Peru then he needs to stop in San Diego for business and he will be gone for more than a week. Therefore, I foresee many lonely evenings ahead with just me, a book and Kloé!

How was your weekend??
Have you seen "Enough Said"?

delivery man

Delivery Man staring Vince Vaughn opens in theatres today!

As you might not know, Delivery Man is a remake of a very popular 2011 French-Canadian movie called "Starbucks" written by Ken Scott.  It is about a irrepressible man-child who learns that his 20-year-old sperm donations have resulted in 533 children.

I obviously saw the French-Canadian version and really liked it. Hopefully, the American version is as good as the original.

Short Recap of Weekend

A nice and relaxing weekend - just the way I like them to be!!
We watched 3 movies (The Internship, The Heat and an older movie on Netflix called Dolphin Tale) and read a lot!

Sunday's supper consisted of making an easy stuffed cabbage casserole
that I stole from a Life According to Stephanie.
It was a hit!!  Bidou and I loved it and will be making it again!  Bonus - there were plenty left overs for lunches.

Love this picture of Kloé with her ear all twisted!

Wednesday's Love

Loving the new design for my blog!  I saw the first draft and wow!  I can't wait to show it off... and finally become a real blogger!

Loving the book Just One Day by Gayle Forman but hating that I must wait until October 10th for the sequel - Just one Year.

Loving the suspense in the movie I saw last night with my Dad - Prisoners.  A must see movie!

Loving that my favourite French Canadian author Suzanne Aubry published today book 6 of her Fanette series.  I am running to the bookstore later on to pick it up!

Loving that I won tickets for Friday's hockey game at the Canadian Tire Centre.

What are you loving this week?
