bragging rights are in order

The 2014 Olympic Winter Games came to an end yesterday and the Canadians RULED when it came to ice hockey by wining the GOLD for both the Women and Men's Hockey.  Go Canada Go!!

For some reason, I really got involved this year with the Olympics when it came to hockey. Note about myself ~ I do not mind watching a NHL hockey game here or there during the season but in no way that I would consider myself a hockey fan. So I surprised myself by inviting my Dad and brother over for some french toast and to watch the final men's game that was scheduled for Sunday at 7:00 am. What an early start to a Sunday but don't worry... I took a nice long nap on the couch during the afternoon!

    I took a half day vacation on Friday to go watch USA vs. Canada. Canada played VERY well and they deserved the gold!

    Mmm.. I could go for some french toast. I'm not a hockey fan but I did catch the end to see that we won. Go Canada!

    Tisk tisk, I have to agree that Canada deserved it! We were up bright and early over here in Denver to watch the game and definitely follow suit with a laaaaaazy rest of our Sunday! I'm terrible at French Toast for some reason, do you have a yummy recipe to share?

    I get what you mean about being a hockey fan. Although, if someone asked I would probably say I was. I like it but I don't go out of my way to watch it unless it is a "big game"

    It was at 7AM?! Holy cow! I didn't watch any of the Olympics. I'm glad they're over to be honest... I miss my regular shows! haha
